Kelly Khumalo reacts to sister ‘divorcing’ her on social media_1

The Khumalo sisters have always kept a tight ship but cracks in their relationship have become apparent with Zandile accusing Kelly of being “toxic”.

During the week, Kelly wrote on her Instagram account that she was not involved and knew nothing about R15 000 that had reportedly been paid to her sister’s husband, Mhlo Gumede.

The concert that never happened…and money vanishing

The cash was allegedly deposited into Gumede’s bank account by promoters for an event that was suppose to take place in November 2019. Vusi Nova and Kelly were billed as the headlining acts of the concert.

However, the promoters approached Daily Sun and exposed Gumede, whom they said had taken their money and went to ground. Kelly then explained that she was unaware of the event and that her bookings were handled by a different person, who was also her manager.

Zandile Khumalo opens up about Kelly on social media

Her comments seemingly prompted Zandile to respond with a scathing statement which she posted on all her social media accounts.

In it, Zandile claims that Kelly is upset because she had declined to appear in her reality show which is set to debut in April. She further slams her sister’s behaviour, adding she is toxic, in need of help and was struggling to maintain her lifestyle as she had been helped with money for food by Zandile.

“The first and the last time I went to jail was because of her, the first time I was questioned by police and even put through a lie detector test. It was because of her…the first time I saw drugs with my own eyes was because of her. I have endured so much abuse and nonsense from her, but I kept quiet because that is the type of person I am.

Senzo Meyiwa murder mystery

The sisters were both implicated in former Orlando Pirates goalkeeper Senzo Meyiwa’s murder as they were at their mother’s house in Vosloorus when he was shot dead. They have maintained that an intruder killed Meyiwa despite evidence to the contrary.

“This is not to bash my sister and it is neither malicious like her post but to protect what’s mine because if I started telling you about other issues your jaws will drop. I just wish that one day she will accept that she needs help and actually get help because I love her,” wrote Zandile.

Kelly Khumalo: ‘She wins’

“It is all well, I accept defeat, She wins. In fact, they both win. I wish them nothing but the best. This hurts more than I thought it would, but it is well.”
