When it comes to finding the best skin care products, it can be hard to know what works. We asked our beauty eds which products they swear by and these were the results. Best of all we’ve chosen products that are all under R220.

Best skincare products 2019: facewash or cleanser
When it comes to keeping your skin clear and radiant, a good face wash or cleanser is a must. Our beauty eds love the Pond’s Flawless Radiance face wash, R89.95 that also helps even out skin tone. Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser, R114.95, not only helps acne-prone skin but also acts a moisturiser, and was another beauty ed favourite.
Tip: Use lukewarm water when washing your face as this is gentler on your skin.
Best skincare products 2019: toner
When it comes to toners, people often ask is a toner necessary and what is it used for. A toner is a quick way to remove excess dirt, oil and makeup that your cleanser didn’t plus it helps balance the pH of your skin.
Pond’s came out tops again, with their Bright and Fresh Even Tone toner, R89.95, particularly because it refreshes the skin. Another favourite was Sorbet 3 in 1 Micellar Cleansing Water, R60.
Best skincare products 2019: moisturiser
Nivea Q10 Power Anti Wrinkle with SPF30, R189.99 and Neutrogena Visibly Even SPF30 Daily Moisturizer, R179.99 are great because it’s often hard to find a moisturizer with enough SPF coverage. Pond’s Flawless Radiance Derma, R119.95 gives a matt look without being ashy. So if you’re looking for a new moisturiser try one of these out, because using expired face cream can be dangerous.
Best skincare products 2019: mask & exfoliator
When it comes to masks and exfoliators our beauty eds love multi-tasking products. Try Nivea Perfect & Radiant 3 in 1, R39.95 or Garnier PureActive 3 in 1, R99.95 which act as a face wash, scrub and mask! Loreal Pure Clay Mask Glow, R159.99 brightens and exfoliates your skin without drying it out.
Best skincare products 2019: serum
A serum may seem like a luxury but we think it is a necessity. Not only does it plump up your skin but it makes it feel soft too. When it comes to serums that do the job without breaking the bank, we like Neutrogena. Neutrogena Ageless Intensives Deep Wrinkle Serum, R219.95 or Neutrogena Supercharged Hydro Boost, R159.95.
