According to figures from Johns Hopkins University, the novel Coronavirus disease has now infected more than 3.5million people worldwide.
The disease which emanated in China, has also lead to the death of over 247,381 people.
The United States has been the country most hit by the pandemic, with confirmed cases reportedly topping 1.1million along with 68,066 death.
European countries like Spain, Italy, UK and France have also suffered huge casualties as a result of the pandemic, with the four nations having 248,301, 210,717, 190,584, 169,492 confirmed cases respectively.
US president, Donald Trump has however raised hopes that the Coronavirus vaccine will be ready by the end of the year.
