Special weather advisories: An intense cold front is expected to affect the Western, Northern and Eastern Cape Provinces from Sunday until Tuesday extending to the north-eastern areas of South Africa. The public and small stock farmers are advised that strong to gale force winds are expected with very cold conditions; light snowfall is likely over the high-lying areas.


Gauteng: Fine and cool.


UVB sunburn index: High.


Mpumalanga: Morning fog patches on the Highveld and escarpment, otherwise partly cloudy and cold to cool but warm in places in the Lowveld. It will be fine in the west.


Limpopo: Morning fog patches on the escarpment, otherwise partly cloudy and cool but warm in the Lowveld and Western Bushveld where it will be fine


North-West Province: Fine and warm.


Free State: Fine and cool, but warm in the north.


Northern Cape: Fine and warm to hot, but cool in the extreme south. It will become windy over the central parts in the afternoon.The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh southerly to south-easterly in the morning, otherwise northerly to north-wetserly.


Western Cape: Cloudy and cool to warm in the west with afternoon rain in the extreme south west, otherwise sunny and warm with high level clouds. The wind along the coast will be strong north westerly in the extreme south west becoming fresh south westerly in the evening, otherwise moderate to fresh north westerly.


UVB sunburn index: Low.


Western half of the Eastern Cape: Morning fog patches in places in the south, otherwise fine and cool, becoming party cloudy in the afternoon. The wind along the coast will be light to moderate northwesterly, becoming easterly in the afternoon.


Eastern half of the Eastern Cape: Fine and cool, but partly cloudy in places. It will become cloudy with fog in the south by evening. The wind along the coast will be light to moderate westerly, becoming north easterly in the afternoon.


Kwazulu-Natal: Fine and warm but cool in places in the west, becoming partly cloudy over the east in the afternoon. The wind along the coast will be moderate south-westerly becoming easterly to north-easterly from the south towards evening.
