Morocco make History by Becoming First African Team to Reach World Cup Semi-finals

The Moroccan national football team made history in the 2022 World Cup by becoming the first African team to reach the semi-finals of the tournament. In their quarter-final match against Portugal, Morocco played a strong and disciplined game, and were able to secure a 1-0 victory thanks to a goal from forward Youssef En Nesyri.

The Moroccan team, led by coach Walid Regragui, had previously impressed in the group stage, finishing top of their group ahead of Belgium, Croatia and Canada.
