FA Cup final: Chelsea vs Arsenal – Live stream info, team news, preview

London giants Chelsea and Arsenal meet at Wembley with the hopes of making up for disappointing seasons.

Chelsea ended up taking the final Champions League spot but the title challenge their fans so desire did not materialise.

Over at the Emirates, Arsenal have plumbed new depths finishing the league in eighth ten points behind Chelsea.

The league now counts for nothing though as the London rivals go head-to-head for the FA Cup.

Chelsea have won seven of their last nine FA Cup finals but both their defeats have come at the hands of Arsenal.

Former Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud, now in the colours of Chelsea, has scored 24 goals in 30 FA Cup appearances. He has been involved in three goals in four final appearances, laying on two assists and scoring Arsenal's fourth goal after appearing as a substitute in the team's 4–0 2015 FA Cup Final victory over Aston Villa.

Arsenal can rescue their season with an FA Cup win which would see them sneak into the Europa League ahead of Wolves who finished three points ahead of Arteta's side and seventh in the league.

Path to the FA Cup final

The two side's respective paths to the final were very different with Arsenal afforded a relatively straight forward ride albeit against 'tricky' opponents in Leeds United, Bournemouth, Portsmouth and Sheffield United.

Arsenal produced a much-needed feel-good performance against a Manchester City team that looked decidedly off the boil on the day.

Chelsea put paid to Liverpool, Manchester United and Leicester City en-route to the final.

The Blues dominated their semi-final against United and dispatched a young Reds side in the fifth round.
