Borussia Dortmund’s game with Monaco has been cancelled after an explosion near the German club’s team bus while on the way to the stadium.
Borussia Dortmund have announced a bomb went off on their team bus at their hotel before tonight’s Champions League match against Monaco. The club’s players are safe, Dortmund said.
German newspaper Bild reports that defender Marc Bertra is the player injured and that he has been taken to hospital. Initial reports said Bartra was “okay but in shockâ€, according to Barcelona-based paper Sport.
The German club were due to play the French giants on Tuesday evening in the first leg of their quarter-final tie.
They stated on the club’s Twitter account: “At the departure of our bus, an incident occurred. One person was injury. More information to follow.â€

German police said an explosion occurred shortly after 20.00 near the team bus at Wittbraucker Strass which broke the windows of the vehicle.
Officials confirm the Champions League quarter final has been postponed to Wednesday. Game rearranged to be played on Wednesday 18:45 CET.
