The agent representing Mamelodi Sundowns target Knowledge Musona says he is not ruling out a move back to South Africa for the Zimbabwean international.
Mike Makaab spoke to Zulu publication Isolezwe, where he revealed that the former Kaizer Chiefs marksman has not received any offers from a Premier Soccer League (PSL) outfit.
PSL move a possibility for Knowledge Musona
This is despite strong links to the Tshwane giants, who are in the market for a few more additions to their squad for the next season.
"There's no team in South Africa that has enquired about Musona's situation. We don't know what will happen when the season resumes. Is he still interested in coming back to South Africa?" Makaab told Isolezwe. "I think any player will never have doubts to play in a league that's stable and that's why I can't rule out a move back to the PSL."Mike Makaab
Musona currently plies his trade in Belgium, where he is in the books of RSC Anderlecht.
The former European champions have loaned him out to first division outfit Eupen, where he moved during the January transfer window, despite the rumoured interest from Sundowns.
"He has a good contract in terms of money with Anderlecht," Makaab continued. "He has worked hard for that. Therefore he can't make huge changes in his salary. "Well, there were South African teams, but there was nothing serious because we never sat down and discussed Musona."Mike Makaab
Earlier in the week, Sundowns president Patrice Motsepe revealed that the club is pursuing a number of players, with two based outside South Africa.
"All of the players who are part of our plans for the future, we feel comfortable the good work has been done. Part of the challenge is that two of the players we are chasing are not in South Africa."Dr Patrice Motsepe
The club has already signed two players, George Maluleka and Grant Margeman on pre-contracts ahead of the 2020/21 season.
