Ubisoft Forward: Here are all the biggest announcements [videos]

Ubisoft hosted the second Ubisoft Forward event for this and shared new updates about upcoming triple-A games, including Far Cry 6, Prince of Persia, Watch Dogs: Legion and AGOS: A Game of Space.

Ubisoft Forward September 2020

Prince of Persia: Sands of Time Remake

Yep, that's right, we're getting a Prince of Persia remake! Ubisoft announced a full remake of the 2003 Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. A release date has been set for 21 January 2021.

The original game is one of its era's most memorable platformers. I recall playing Prince of Persia in primary school, on MS-DOS… We've come a long way, just compare these two trailers:

Immortals Fenyx Rising

You may know Immortals Fenyx Rising as Gods and Monsters. The game's first official re-reveal was unveiled at Ubisoft Forward, complete with a new cinematic trailer and a glimpse at the gameplay.

You also won't have to wait all that long; Immortals Fenyx Rising will be released on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Google Stadia, and PC on 3 December 2020. It will also be available on PS5 and Xbox Series X.

Watch Dogs: Legion

Watch Dogs: Legion will have a special mission featuring the rapper Stormzy. The footage will be part of a music video for the new song and will also be used in-game.

Aidan Pearce is also set to return to the franchise as a playable character in an upcoming DLC expansion.

Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game Complete Edition

Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game makes a return as well. The complete edition will include the separately released DLC characters Knives Chau and Wallace Wells.

Add it to the holiday shopping list; Scott Pilgrim vs The World will be available for PS4, Xbox One, Switch, and Stadia at some point during the 2020 holiday season.

AGOS: A Game of Space

Speaking of VR, Ubisoft also announced a new space exploration VR game, AGOS: A Game of Space. We don't know much about this game yet, but it sure sounds like fun.

Prepare for an immersive space adventure where you can customise your spacecraft and travel to distant space. Seeing as I missed my calling to become an astronaut, I'll most definitely be investing in AGOS.

The new VR-exclusive interstellar survival game will be coming to Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, and Valve Index headsets on 28 October 2020.

Riders Republic: Ubisoft announcement

Riders Republic is courtesy of Ubisoft Annecy, the same studio who brought us Steep. In Riders Republic, you'll get to travel across the United States and partake in a series of extreme sports, such as downhill biking and snowboarding.

The massive-multiplayer game will launch on 25 February 2021 for PC, PS4, Xbox One; and eventually on PS5, and Xbox Series X too.

Rainbow Six: Siege – Sam Fisher

Sam Fisher of Splinter Cell will be going over to Rainbow Six Siege as a new operator. The developers yesterday released a new animated trailer featuring Fisher and some of the Siege's lore.

If you get it on PS4 or Xbox One, you'd also be able to play it on PS5 and Xbox Series X eventually.

Hyperscape Turbo Mode: Ubisoft announcement

Following in Fortnite's footsteps, Hyperscape will be getting a limited-time Turbo Mode which puts players in a fast-paced game where all weapons are the maximum rarity.

Turbo Mode launches on 15 September 2020.

For Honor: Resistance

For Honor is four years strong and its next season is called Resistance; it will go live on 17 September 2020.

"The Order of Horkos has imposed a regime of terror. But in the most desperate times, a spark of rebellion is all you need to bring back hope".

Just Dance 2021: Ubisoft announcement

The latest version of Ubisoft's popular dance and fitness game, Just Dance, will be released on 12 November 2020. Pre-orders are available now already. The updated version includes new songs and features.

Far Cry VR: Ubisoft annoucement

That's right, Far Cry is finally getting the VR (virtual reality) treatment. The VR edition is reportedly based on Far Cry 3 events and will be available at some point in 2021.

Ghost Recon Breakpoint: Red Patriot

Ghost Recon Breakpoint is getting a new expansion titled Red Patriot, which will be released on Tuesday 15 September 2020.

The Crew 2: The Chase Season 1

The Crew 2 is getting a rework as well. The new season promises to deliver a cops-and-robbers style theme and chase mode. The release date has been set for 25 November 2020.
