What took off as an exciting night of fun and entertainment came to a halt when hell broke lose after Stonebwoy was pronounced Raggae/Dancehall Artiste of the Year at the 20th VGMAs.
Stonebwoy was on stage with his team to receive his award when Shatta Wale and his boys were spotted angrily advancing towards the stage.
A visibly angry Stonebwoy who did not look pleased with the action pulled out a gun on stage as his Bhim Nation gang mobbed him.
The chaotic scene led to the halting of the show, as some patrons walked out of the Dome.

The 20th edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, #VGMA, nearly turned bloody in the early hours of Sunday, May 19, 2019, as fans of dancehall artiste Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale clashed after the former was announced as the Reggae Dancehall Artiste of the Year. . . An unhappy Shatta Wale and his fans had got off their seats and made their way to the podium, but were stopped by stonebwoy and his fans and that led to a brawl. . . At some point, Stonebwoy pulled out a gun on stage while the security operatives intervened by spraying pepper in the auditorium in an attempt to prevent a full-blown fight. Stonebwoy was later handcuffed and whisked away.
