Tory Lanez's Father Claims Family Has Forgiven Megan Thee Stallion Despite Son's Conviction

Tory Lanez's father, Sonstar Peterson, has shared a video on social media in which he claims that their family has forgiven Megan Thee Stallion for an unknown reason. This statement comes after Tory Lanez was convicted in the 2020 shooting of Megan Thee Stallion and is facing up to 22 years in prison when he is sentenced next month.

In the video, Sonstar Peterson stated, "Let me stop right here and say this. This might come as a shock to many of you, but guess what? Both my son, myself and others of our family have long decided that we are not going to hold any animosity against Megan Pete a.k.a Megan Thee Stallion. We forgave the girl long time ago. Because, again, we know that the principal of forgiveness is important in order to cleanse one's heart, in order to cleanse one's soul and to not be bound up with hatred."

However, Sonstar Peterson also made it clear that the family does not plan to back down from what he believes is a "machine" that has been trying to press a narrative and use Megan Thee Stallion for their own gain. He also reiterated his belief that his son is innocent in the shooting.

It is worth noting that after the verdict was announced on Dec. 23, 2022, Sonstar Peterson reportedly made a scene in the courtroom, screaming and accusing Roc Nation, who manages Megan Thee Stallion, of foul play. The sentencing date for Tory Lanez has been pushed back to Feb. 28 as he has hired a new attorney who plans on trying to get him a new trial.
