On Friday, Meek Mill shared a series of intense video clips on Instagram showing him fighting to escape a frenzied crowd at the Afro Nation concert in Ghana on Thursday.
In the videos, Meek can be seen struggling to get through the crowd with the help of security guards, eventually making an escape on dirt bikes. Meek captioned the videos with a joke about the incident, saying "They roughed me [the fuck] up but the love overpowered it...Almost went from dreams to nightmares quick. Lol."
Despite the chaos, Meek claims to have received a warm reception from the people of Ghana and even had his phone stolen at some point during the event.
Dancehall artist Shatta Wale took to Twitter to ask the streets of Ghana to return the phone if they had taken it. Despite the phone theft and the struggle to escape the crowd, Meek appears to have had an overall positive experience at the Afro Nation concert, sharing a carousel of photos on Instagram from the event.
