Art Institute of Chicago Revokes Kanye West's Honorary Degree

Kanye West's honorary degree from the Art Institute of Chicago has been revoked by the institution. West was awarded the degree in 2015 in recognition of his contributions to the arts, specifically his album "The College Dropout." However, the school has now decided to revoke the degree due to West's recent behavior and statements, which have been widely criticized.

In a statement, the Art Institute of Chicago said, "After careful consideration, the Board of Trustees of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC) has made the decision to revoke the honorary degree awarded to Kanye West in 2015. Kanye West's behavior and statements in recent years have been unacceptable and are antithetical to the values and mission of SAIC."

West has not commented on the revocation of his degree. It is unclear if he plans to challenge the decision or if he will continue to work with the school in the future.
