DJ Maphorisa gets dragged for allegedly scamming a record label of R3,500

DJ Maphorisa has been called out for allegedly defrauding a record label.

According to Daily Sun, the Award-winning DJ reached an agreement with the label, got paid but refused to deliver his part of the work.

The label owner, Letty Mncube, in her account, said Phori was paid R3,500 of the R48k agreed on but despite the part payment, he is yet to do their work.

Speaking further about the work given to the DJ, she said he was to do a PR work for 2 of the label's upcoming artistes.

"Initially he wanted R 48 000 for PR work, the recording of songs, getting gigs for the artists, getting their songs to trend on social media, posting their work on his social media pages and attracting public attention," Letty told Daily Sun.

"I became suspicious when he failed to post my artists on his social media page. On the day we were supposed to meet he didn't pick up my calls," she added.
