South Africans flood social media with different reactions to the claim that Nelson Mandela sold his people out.
In an interview with a young EFF member named Jack Markovitz held outside the Brackenfell residential area, he supported the EFF political party's fight against racism.
In the video which has gone viral, Jack claimed that Mandela sold out South Africans. He added that the protest is to sort out all other problems created by the late legend before he died.

Mzansi Twitter got divided over Jack's claims and some of the reactions are:
Mandela didn’t sell us out. He said I’ve done my part and all other hills to climb are yours. He said let me grow old in peace. I used to parrot this sell out story, I’m wiser now. https://t.co/hex6xuVDX2— #BamakoIsHere (@simphiwedana) November 21, 2020
The funny thing is ALL those African countries who had leaders who didn't sell them out have FORCEFULLY immigrated to the country Mandela " sold out " for economical survival. They left their black owned land for SA. It just shows the other option was far worse— WE ARE FOR HERMAN MASHABA (@soso_songezile) November 20, 2020
illiteracy sometimes gets in a way of constructive debate
In a debate there are two opposing motions. With that understanding there is nothing wrong with saying “Nelson Mandela sold out”November 20, 2020
That white kid saying Mandela sold "us" out is what happens when white activism appropriates Black speech as a marker of radicalism.— The Planet Formely Known As George (@knotyourfrend) November 20, 2020
#Mandela THREAD Ignorant to call him a sellout. Far right says he should never have been released. Far left calls him a sellout. When Codesa collapsed MK wanted a civil war. At an officials mtg Madiba asked them: how many arms do the apartheid govt have, how many soldiers?... 2/— Zelda la Grange ©™✌ (@ZeldalaGrangeSA) November 21, 2020
