While barbers and salons remain closed during level 4 lockdown, South Africans have taken measures into their own hands – or clippers…
From the images that have appeared on social media over the past few weeks, there are certainly some budding barbers out there, but most DIY lockdown haircuts have left a lot to be desired.
This week, SA rugby captain, Siya Kolisi shared his lockdown haircut experience on social media. According to the caption, the clipper was in the hands of a 'family member', who shaved off "The Bear's" signature style.
While some fans love the new shaven look, others want Kolisi to grow it all back. Fellow SA sportsman, cricketer Francois "Faf" du Plessis commented on Kolisi's post, saying "@siya_kolisi_the_bear why why … loved ur hair style."
It seems that Kolisi may have been 'forced' into it, as he responded: "@fafdup I had no choice my cousin rocked me! Give me time haha."
Perhaps a hint that he will be growing back his signature style?
